Next week we will begin our pottery projects. We are going to be creating pinch pot critters. This project is usually a class favorite. This is an example of a pinch pot critter from last year. Isn't he adorable?

Today we started brainstorming ideas for our pinch pot. As a class we made a list of animals that would make good pinch pot critters.

Then we created 3 designs of different pinch pot critters. The challenge with designing a pinch pot critter is that the body not the legs has to support the weight of the design.

Jared designing his first pinch pot critter.

Courtney designing her pinch pot creatures.

After designing our pinch pot creatures, we returned to working on our graphite/colored pencil drawings from yesterday.
Homework:
Reminder that homework is due tomorrow because there is no school on Friday, or Monday, or Tuesday. I know the students are very sad about having a fall break. :)
~Draw a cartoon version of yourself.
