Today Art I is beginning the process of creating a color wheel using colored pencils.
Step 1: Everyone starts with a blank circle.
Step 2: everyone selected another circle that has images attached to it.
Step 3: Everyone creates a line drawing on the blank circle (shown in step 1) of the images that are on the circle selected in step 2.
Everyone shades the line drawing with colored pencils so that it looks like a color wheel.

Hi Kate! I love your blog. It's great for those of us looking for new projects, but I can tell it really helps you connect with students and their families! In any case, did you have students make collages on circles (Step 2)? Sounds like you might have a collection of them? Any suggestions for those of us who don't. I teach elementary age students - we could do a guided drawing... . what do you think?
