Today we shaded a sphere. Yes, again. It was the 4th time this week. But each time has been a little different. Monday- graphite, Tuesday- one color pencil, Wednesday- blue, black and white colored pencils, and Thursday- yellow, orange, and red colored pencils. And besides the fact that each day has been a little different, students are also learning that repetition (practice) helps to improve their skills (makes perfect).

After our warm-up, we spent 10 minutes organizing our sketchbooks and study our notes. As we approach the 5th week in art class, it is important not to forget the information covered in the 1st week of class.

Last, we spent the last 50 minutes in class coloring two more pie pieces on our color wheels. They are really starting to look nice.

I love how her colored pencils are sorted in to groups of reds and oranges!
