I was at a workshop yesterday, so I am still getting caught up.

This is what we did in both my classes today.

I promise I will post pictures tomorrow!

Art I

1. Warm-up/Skills practice: line drawing of a completely crushed can.

2. Brainstorm as individual, table, class “Things found in, on, and near the ocean”

3. Organize in a circle map.

4. Practice drawing complex object using shapes. (seashells)

5. Begin creating 3 designs based on the theme- “Things found in, on, and near the ocean”

a. Check signed newsletter.

b. Collect Supply fee.

Homework:

Doodle for Google due on Friday.

Remember to bring $10 supply fee, signed newsletter, and optional money to buy supplies from the art department.

Art II

1. Warm-up and Skills practice: draw a sphere.

2. Brainstorm as an individual and a table qualities and characteristics of excellent graphite drawings.

3. Post the characteristics on the board and discuss.

4. Look at and discuss PowerPoint of “Graphite Drawings for Discussion”.

5. Continue gridding papers.

6. Begin creating line drawing using the grid.

Doodle for Google due on Friday.
