1. Warm-up: create a line drawing of 3 keys.

2 . Art History Video with Viewing Guide- Leonardo da Vinci.

3. Positive and Negative Space Activity. The drawing on the right demonstrates the positive and negative space in the drawing on the left. In the drawing on the right, the positive space is the white area (the space occupied by objects), and the negative space is the black area (the space not occupied by an object).

4. Begin Line Drawing of a Shoe Project. This will be our first major project. We will work on it all week.

HOMEWORK:

· Bring $10 Supply fee

· Get September Newsletter signed

· Get both permission slips signed

· Start getting supplies or bring money in to purchase supplies from Mrs. Highsmith

· Begin working on Weekly Sketchbook Check which is due on Friday. Draw a tiger. Spend a minimum of 15 minutes working on your drawing. You may use any media and any style. Homework passes will be accepted.
